Occupational Therapist II: Per Diem, Variable Days & 2 wknd days/mo, Atlantic Health Newton and Hackettstown Medical Centers
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care team. The clinician in this role will work with adult patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions. This flexible per diem position is ideal for an experienced OT who is looking for weekday PD hours.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for adult acute care patients, including assessment of functional mobility, ADLs, cognition, vision, and safety.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans to promote independence, recovery, and successful discharge planning.
- Deliver interventions focused on ADL retraining, functional mobility, cognitive/visual-perceptual skills, therapeutic exercise, and caregiver education.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including PT, SLP, nursing, case management, and physicians.
- Document evaluations, daily notes, and discharge recommendations in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.

Qualifications
- Weekday coverage availability.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current NJ state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
- Prior experience in acute care strongly preferred; comfort with medically complex adult patients required.
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and time‑management skills.
