Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

Those in Oracle technology at PwC will focus on utilising and managing Oracle suite of software and technologies for various purposes within an organisation. You will be responsible for tasks such as installation, configuration, administration, development, and support of Oracle products and solutions.

Role Summary

The OCI Associate supports day-to-day provisioning, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle PaaS services. The role also supports Oracle Fusion instance provisioning and administration activities by executing standard build checklists and operational procedures. The Associate works under guidance from senior engineers and follows defined standards, runbooks, and change controls.

Key Responsibilities

OCI Infrastructure Administration

· Provision and manage OCI resources including VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists/NSGs, gateways (IGW/NAT/Service Gateway), compute, and storage.

· Support OCI IAM administration tasks: compartments support, groups, dynamic groups, policies, and access requests aligned to least-privilege standards.

· Perform routine operations such as tagging compliance, backups coordination, patch window support, capacity checks, and resource housekeeping.

· Assist with hybrid connectivity support (IPSec VPN / FastConnect) including basic connectivity validation (routes, DNS, security rules).

Oracle PaaS Administration

· Support administration for Oracle PaaS services as applicable (e.g., Autonomous Database, Oracle Integration Cloud, API Gateway, Functions, Streaming, Vault/KMS, Logging, Monitoring/Alarms).

· Execute standard operational tasks: service health checks, configuration validation, certificate update support, and backup/restore coordination.

· Assist with access onboarding and environment readiness checks for application teams consuming PaaS services.

Oracle Fusion Instance Provisioning & Administration

· Support Fusion instance provisioning activities using approved request workflows: environment creation support, baseline validation, and documentation updates.

· Perform standard Fusion administration support such as access provisioning requests, endpoint and integration validation (e.g., OIC/SSO), and coordination of maintenance communications.

· Execute predefined checklists for Fusion environment readiness and post-change validation.

Monitoring, Incident & Change Support

· Monitor OCI and PaaS environments using OCI Monitoring/Logging and enterprise tools; triage alerts and escalate per runbooks.

· Participate in incident and service request management (ITSM): ticket updates, evidence capture, and post-incident documentation.

· Support change implementations by executing approved steps and validating outcomes, adhering to change control procedures.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Support

· Execute Terraform deployments using existing modules; update environment variables and parameters under peer review.

· Use Git workflows (branches, pull requests) to support controlled change delivery.

· Assist with scripting (Bash/Python) to automate repeatable operational activities and reporting.

Experience & Knowledge

· Experience in cloud implementation and operations, infrastructure administration, DevOps, or platform support.

· Understanding of cloud networking (CIDR, routing, DNS, firewall concepts).

· Exposure to OCI core services (networking, compute, storage, IAM) and at least 2 Oracle PaaS service.

· Basic Linux administration and scripting fundamentals (Bash and/or Python).

· Familiarity with ITSM concepts (incident, change, request management) and operational documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications & Additional Skills

· OCI Foundations and/or OCI Associate certification

· Exposure to Terraform, Git, and CI/CD fundamentals.

· Exposure to Oracle Fusion.

Understanding of security best practices (least privilege, secrets handling, key management concepts).

What You Must Have
