Project: BINHI - Forest Protection and Forestry Permit Compliance for Growth Projects
The Forest Protection Officer shall perform the following services:
1. Project Implementation - BINHI Forest Protection:
- Develop updated forest protection plan for Bacon-Manito Geothermal Reservation
- Lead implementation of forest protection activities in Bacman including but not limited to forest patrols, forest fire control, capacity building of community-based forest protection teams, coordination of forest protection activities with DENR, LGUs and other enforcement agencies;
- Implementation of forest protection activities for BINHI plantations and compliance planting areas of Bacman growth projects
2. Assist implementation and data management of compliance planting activities for Bacman Growth Projects
- Assist implementation of plantation maintenance, monitoring, and evaluation activities for replacement planting in compliance to tree cutting permits of Bacman Growth Projects
- Assist data management of compliance planting including mapping, inventories, recording of threats, DENR M&E, and plantation reports.
- Provide technical evaluation of plantation progress and design catch-up plans as needed
3. Provide assistance in the social and forestry permit processing for Bacman Growth Projects
- Assist tree inventory activities for Bacman Growth Projects
- Assist social and forestry permitting activities for Bacman Growth Projects (i.e. social preparation for BRGP, etc)
4. Prepare and submit data repository and reports:
- BINHI Forest Protection Accomplishment Reports;
- BINHI Forest Protection registries and other Forest protection and related data
- Compliance Planting maps, data registry, and other plantation related data/ reports
