Open Source Intelligence Specialist, Sentinel, Collection Management
As an Open Source Intelligence Specialist within the Sentinel Team, you will play a critical role in Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS). Your primary mission is to identify, research, and assess potential threats to Google’s people, property, and interests by leveraging open-source data.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end intelligence cycle, from collection to dissemination, ensuring that leadership receives timely and accurate insights to inform incident response, crisis management, and global travel security. In this role, you will require a blend of technical Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) expertise, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
US: $105000 - $152000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Collect, evaluate, escalate and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood.
- Deliver intelligence support to GSRS in incident response, crisis management and global travel management.
- Leverage open source material to find, research, and assess information that could indicate a potential concern to Google, employees, and interests.
- Collect, evaluate, escalate and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood.
- Support in the development of protocols and practices to assess and mitigate issues to Google, to drive efficiency, and to manage crises.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence or a military role or equivalent private sector experience.
- 5 years of experience with open source intelligence or disseminating intelligence.
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of threat types and trends.
- Understanding of global geopolitical trends and emerging threats and risks.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to take initiative while building cross-functional relationships.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
