Additionally, you have:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field

  • 8–10 years of procurement or buying experience, preferably in EMS, electronics, or manufacturing environment

    Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of electronic components supply market (e.g., semiconductors, passive components)

  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools

  • Understanding of procurement processes, sourcing, and supplier management

  • Basic knowledge of cost analysis and supply chain risk management

  • Purchasing & Order Management (Transactional Execution)

    • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) based on MRP/ERP requirements

    • Ensure accurate and timely PO issuance to approved suppliers

    • Monitor order confirmations, pricing, and delivery schedules

    • Maintain strong control of order status and system accuracy

  • Material Availability & Expediting

    • Track and follow up on open orders to ensure on-time delivery (OTD)

    • Proactively expedite critical materials to avoid production delays

    • Resolve issues related to shortages, late deliveries, and allocation constraints

    • Work closely with Planning to align supply with production priorities

  • Supplier Coordination (Operational Level)

    • Act as the primary contact for day-to-day supplier communication

    • Follow up on delivery commitments, shipment schedules, and documentation

    • Escalate critical supply risks to Category Buyer or Procurement Manager

    • Support supplier performance monitoring through delivery and responsiveness tracking

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams

    • Support NPI (New Product Introduction) activities through timely PO placement

    • Assist in resolving GR/IR issues, invoice discrepancies, and shipment problems

  • Systems & Data Management

    • Maintain accurate ERP data, including lead times, pricing, and supplier records

    • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with procurement processes

    • Generate reports on open orders, shortages, and delivery performance

  • Compliance & Process Adherence

    • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures

    • Support internal and external audits when required

    • Adhere to approved supplier usage and sourcing guidelines
