Role Description
The Operations Analyst supports the efficient execution of audit engagements and internal firm operations across all service lines, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CMMC, HITRUST, and FedRAMP. This role bridges the gap between audit delivery teams and operational leadership by managing workflows, tracking engagement progress, maintaining operational data, and driving continuous process improvement.

Job Responsibilities
Engagement Operations & Coordination
• Support the end-to-end operational execution of audit engagements across all service lines (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CMMC, HITRUST, FedRAMP).
• Manage engagement setup, intake tracking, and workflow coordination in internal project management systems.
• Monitor engagement milestones, flag timeline risks, and assist in resource and deadline tracking.
• Coordinate across audit teams to ensure timely delivery of client-facing and internal deliverables.
• Support client onboarding logistics, including system access setup and documentation preparation.
Process Improvement & Quality
• Identify and document operational bottlenecks and recommend actionable process improvements.
• Assist in maintaining and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and documentation repositories.
• Support internal quality control reviews to ensure deliverable consistency with firm standards.
• Contribute to the rollout of operational process changes and new tools across delivery teams.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
• Collect, organize, and maintain operational data for internal reporting and leadership dashboards.
• Track key operational KPIs including engagement utilization, project timelines, and team capacity.
• Prepare regular status reports and ad hoc analyses for the Director of Operations and senior leadership.
• Maintain data integrity across internal systems and ensure records are current and accurate.
Technology & Systems
• Maintain and update internal tools including project tracking platforms (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday.com) and collaboration systems.
• Provide operational support for compliance automation platforms (e.g., Vanta, Drata, Secureframe).
• Assist in the evaluation and adoption of new technologies that enhance team efficiency.
Cross-Functional Support
• Serve as a liaison between audit delivery, client success, HR, and finance teams to support coordinated operations.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives as directed by Operations leadership.
• Contribute to internal training materials, onboarding documentation, and knowledge base content.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience
• 2+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, audit support, or a related role.
• Experience in professional services, consulting, audit, or a compliance-adjacent environment strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, PCI DSS) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; experience with project management tools (Asana, Jira, or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Analytical mindset — comfortable working with data, building reports, and identifying trends.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented work style.
• High integrity and discretion when handling confidential client and organizational information.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
Not required, but the following are viewed favorably:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM
• Lean Six Sigma (Green or Yellow Belt)
• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
• Any foundational cybersecurity or compliance credential (e.g., CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Foundation)
