Operations Analyst
You will execute and troubleshoot customer and vendor payments, perform reconciliations to ensure asset integrity, monitor card authorizations and settlements, and manage card disputes and fraud claims. You will assist customer support and back-office activities, contribute to projects, and improve processes and internal controls to increase operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to customer transactions
- Perform payments to vendors and business partners
- Manage transaction statements and perform reconciliations
- Carry out controls to ensure financial data quality and integrity
- Monitor card transaction processing including authorizations and settlements
- Manage debit card transaction disputes and fraud claims
- Assist customer support with customer inquiries
- Assist with back-office operations and timely completion of tasks
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and tasks
- Develop, maintain, and improve operational processes and procedures
- Identify, propose, and document enhancements to internal controls
Requirements
- Relevant experience in an Operations department, ideally from a bank, fintech, or financial institution
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field
- Proven experience in payments, banking, financial reconciliation, or card disputes
- Excellent written and spoken English communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced Excel or database skills and high attention to detail
- Keen interest in technology and cryptocurrencies
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; organized and proactive self-starter
- Dedicated workspace, reliable high-speed internet, and suitable devices
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Finastra or other core banking platforms, G Suite, Slack, Zoom, Mastercard Connect, and VISA Online
