To provide day\-to\-day\ntechnical and operational support for server environment for both\nhardware and software. Work with various departments to meet maintenance\nservices sales goals. Works with customers and/or distributors to receive\naccurate account of equipment failures and provides reports to management.<\/span>

Key\nresponsibilities:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support\nand train others to support Ontec systems including monitoring, diagnostics,\ntroubleshooting, and repair;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Help\nin defining system hardware and software specifications and configurations;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Design,\nimplement, upgrade, test and troubleshoot systems and applications at Ontec and\ncustomer locations;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Define\nand maintain system standards, reliability and performance requirements for\nOntec production operations;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Recommends\nhardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Administer\nand train others to administer production systems and applications, and\ndocument configurations and procedures;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Maintains\npasswords, data integrity and file system security for the server environment;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Work\nwith internal and external customers, vendors and other support technicians to\ndetermine and implement adjustments to achieve optimum system performance;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Document,\nreport, track problems to appropriate vendors or departments<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

Key\nrequirements:<\/span><\/b>

<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Tertiary Engineering Qualification or equivalent(advantageous)<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum 2 years technical industry experience(advantageous)<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Basic knowledge of meters and IoT devices and systems(advantageous)<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Direct Customer engagement experience;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Contact Centre Support background;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Proficiency in English, Xhosa and/or Zulu (written and\nverbal) advantageous<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>The use of appropriate business language when communicating\nwith customers;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Must have good analytical skills;<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);<\/span>
