Operations Manager, PA
SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Operations Manager manages the transmission and distribution operations function within an assigned District, ensuring high levels of service and consistent application of corporate policies and standards, as well as maintaining an effective interface between the administrative, business and operations functions. This position provides safety leadership to assigned staff and contractors to ensure safe and reliable operating practices and compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities
Manage and provide leadership to staff, providing operations and maintenance services within the District, and in collaboration with other Districts, to ensure safe, reliable, effective and efficient utilization of resources.
Maintain a trained and qualified staff complement and hold staff accountable for compliance training and the use of safe work practices. This includes providing leadership in safety, health and environment to ensure these principles are valued among staff.
Coordinate and delegate operations and maintenance assignments and monitor level of service and progress of assignments and projects, ensuring compliance and consistent application of policies and legislative/regulatory requirements and ensuring District commitments are met.
Ensure accountability for translating planned goals into business results and coach employees to achieve their goals.
Provide workgroup planning and communication sessions, ensuring a link between strategic plans and employee roles and contributions.
Oversee scheduling of maintenance and operating activities, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of work and that adequate resources, application processes and documentation is maintained.
Coordinate outage planning and field activities of various groups engaged in projects, planned maintenance, emergency response and customer service requests.
Lead the communication efforts with staff, other corporate departments and contractors regarding operational plans, emergency preparedness, safety and environmental standards and practices, and provide appropriate responses to changing operating conditions.
Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Degree in Engineering or Sciences or related degree. A journeyperson certificate in a technical trade may also be considered.
Seven (7) years of related field experience associated to pipeline and compression facilities in the oil and gas industry.
Ability to coach and mentor employees while building and maintaining effective relationships and empowering team members to succeed.
Ability to foster a culture focused on innovation and teamwork.
Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.
A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
Additional Information
Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required.
