Operator (1 year contractor)

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC turning machine, milling machines, grinders, and drills.

  • Technical document Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.

  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products using measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges etc.) to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.

  • Tooling & Setup: Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments for optimal performance.

  • Process Monitoring: Monitor machine operations, adjust settings as needed, and troubleshoot issues to maintain production efficiency.

  • Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance on machines and follow all safety regulations to prevent accidents and equipment damage.

  • Production Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, part counts, and quality checks.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance efficiency and productivity.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Secondary school or equivalent experience or above, with a major in mechanical manufacturing or CNC machining.

  • More than 5 years of machining operation experience.

  • Familiar with machining processes and have a certain understanding of various lathes, cutting tools, and fixtures.

  • Possess basic knowledge of metal technology and metal material processing.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Basic understanding of 5S and TPM.

  • Ability to read drawings and perform machining according to process requirements.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Knowledge of CNC programming.
