Responsibilities

  • Optimize the wastewater treatment process.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data and provide recommendations and/or engineering solutions.
  • Work with water treatment operators in day-to-day operation.
  • Receive on the job training in the wastewater treatment process and laboratory sampling.
  • Maintain and operate plant equipment and processes related to the wastewater treatment system.
  • Operate valves, gates, and pumps.
  • Adjust flow rates and chemical feed rates.
  • Collect samples and submit for laboratory testing; monitor control panels, gauges, and meters; maintain written data on test results, gauges, and meter readings.
  • Check chemical tank levels; mix chemical solutions; operate laboratory equipment to perform chemical analysis; prepare written logs.
  • Use appropriate safety equipment and follow safety procedures in performing assignments.
  • Other duties as required.

Education

  • High school education or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.

The pay for this position is $22.25 - $23.48. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic locations, skills, education, and/or experience.
