Oracle EBS Data Conversion Developer

We are seeking an experienced Data Conversion Developer with strong expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) implementations. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data migration activities including extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading of data from legacy systems into Oracle EBS. The role requires strong technical, analytical, and functional understanding of enterprise data structures and business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops new programs or makes changes to existing programs, according to business requirements. This will be in the areas of, but not limited to: Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Extensions, and Workflow.
- Leads requirement gathering meetings with business users. Assists business users with deciding on system configuration and setup of new and existing modules.
- Works with all of Oracle’s development tools to resolve issues and build custom applications. Performs design and development of custom solutions for gaps identified by business users.
- Prepares test environments for business use after cloning activity. Works with Oracle support staff and business users to develop resolutions for application issues.
- Investigates use of Application modules not in use as well as study Application modules in use.
- Level 2 production support by troubleshooting issues and working rapidly to provide a workaround or resolution to the stated issue and End user Support can include using sqlldr to refresh tables for business reporting or for projects.
- Works with key business owners to support and troubleshoot production system issues.
- Monitors system health by evaluating system self-monitoring script emails. Assists with system maintenance tasks and Other relevant tasks or duties may be assigned.
- Participates in other departmental tasks when needed or required. Is in tune with and follows Oracle’s technology path and gets trained on new technology that Oracle is incorporating into the e-business suite.
- Provide technical support to other IT developers including systems that interface with the Oracle Applications.
- Follows and supports overall policies and goals for the companies Information Technology, including maintaining established Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory IT general controls over the production environment.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 6+ years of experience in Oracle EBS R12
- 6+ years of experience in Oracle EBS Data Conversion projects
- 6+ years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (11i/R12)
- 4+ years of experience in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports
- 4+ years of experience with XML/BI Publisher
- 4+ years of experience with Oracle Workflow Builder
- 2+ years of experience working on Unix/Linux environments
- 2+ years of experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) is preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development and tuning
- Experience with ETL tools and data migration frameworks
- Scripting and automation for data processing
- Knowledge of staging tables, interface tables, and data loading mechanisms
Database & Data Skills
- Strong understanding of relational databases
- Data modeling (tables, relationships, normalization)
- Performance tuning for large data loads
- Knowledge of data warehouse and staging architectures
Oracle EBS Functional Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS modules: Finance (GL, AP, AR), Procurement, Inventory, Sales
- Understanding of Order Management, Pricing, and EDI
- Strong knowledge of A2C (Accounts-to-Close) and O2C (Order-to-Cash) cycles
- Knowledge of master data and transactional data structures
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS migration tools and templates
- Oracle EBS implementation or upgrade projects
- Large-scale enterprise data migration programs
- Experience in global or multi-entity environments
Data Migration Expertise
- Data mapping and transformation techniques
- Data profiling, cleansing, and validation
- Data reconciliation and quality management
- Legacy-to-Oracle EBS data conversion experience

Work Model & Location
- Hybrid model: In office Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Work location: Pune / Hyderabad
- Working hours: India shift with 2:30 PM IST to 11:30 PM IST.
