Oracle Integration Cloud Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Developer based in the United States.
This is a highly technical integration engineering role focused on designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade connectivity across Oracle Cloud Applications, on-premise systems, and third-party platforms. You will own the end-to-end integration lifecycle, ensuring that business-critical data flows are secure, reliable, and scalable across complex environments. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud, API-driven architectures, and modern integration patterns. You will work closely with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into robust integration solutions that support core enterprise processes. This role also offers exposure to modern Oracle Cloud technologies, workflow automation, and enterprise API management strategies.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain integration flows in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) connecting Oracle Cloud Applications (ERP, HCM, CX), on-prem systems, and third-party platforms.
- Build app-driven and scheduled integrations, including complex mappings, transformations, error handling, and recovery logic.
- Configure and manage OIC adapters such as REST, SOAP, FTP, and SaaS integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow).
- Develop workflow automation using Oracle Process Cloud Service for human-centric and business process orchestration.
- Build and support Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) applications integrated with Oracle Cloud ecosystems.
- Implement API management strategies including authentication, security policies, throttling, and lifecycle governance.
- Design resilient integration patterns including retries, notifications, escalation flows, and failure recovery mechanisms.
- Optimize high-volume integrations using asynchronous processing, batching, and performance tuning techniques.
- Support migration of legacy Oracle SOA Suite or other integration platforms to Oracle Integration Cloud.
- Collaborate with Oracle Cloud Application teams to ensure alignment with business processes and data models.
- Provide production support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and post-go-live hypercare.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to defining integration standards and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in integration development, with strong expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Solid understanding of Oracle Cloud Applications (ERP, HCM, CX) data models and APIs.
- Strong experience with REST and SOAP web services and enterprise integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and Process Cloud Service.
- Strong knowledge of API management concepts and security standards (OAuth2, SAML, mTLS).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex distributed integration systems and production support.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Experience migrating from Oracle SOA Suite to OIC is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD practices, and cloud integration environments is a plus.
- Exposure to other integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, SAP CPI) is advantageous.
