Position Summary:
The Outdoor Test Specialist is responsible for conducting field-based testing and measurement of materials, components, and products in outdoor environments. This role involves collecting accurate data, documenting findings, and analyzing results using Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, and proficient in data entry, organization, and basic analysis.
Responsibilities:
Perform field testing and measurement of materials, components, and equipment in outdoor environmentsUse precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, scales, gauges, etc.) to record accurate dimensional and performance dataFollow established testing procedures, safety standards, and quality protocolsCollect, document, and organize field data in Microsoft ExcelCreate and maintain spreadsheets for tracking measurements, test results, and trendsConduct basic data analysis, including formulas, charts, pivot tables, and summary reportingIdentify inconsistencies, deviations, or material defects and report findings to supervisors or engineersMaintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionalityAssist in preparing detailed test reports and documentationWork collaboratively with engineering, quality, and operations teamsTravel to outdoor test sites as required
