Outside Sales

Job Summary: The Outside Sales Representative drives business growth by acquiring new customers and expanding services within existing accounts. This role focuses on prospecting and generating leads, as well as upselling and cross-selling inspection services to meet client needs. The representative builds and maintains long-term customer relationships while preparing, presenting, and negotiating pricing and contracts to secure service agreements. Success in this role requires proactive approach to sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver value-driven solutions.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of fire protection equipment and services including portable fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, restaurant hood systems, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, clean agent suppression systems, and alarm monitoring.
  • Conduct sales calls to prospective clients to grow the inspection and service business by onboarding new customers.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet or exceed assigned sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Perform sales outreach to existing customers to drive added service sales and convert construction/installation clients into recuring service customers.
  • Represent the company during customer site visits, training sessions, trade shows, and other business development events, which may occasionally occur outside standard business hours.
  • Stay informed on market trends and opportunities through direct customer interactions, networking, and proactive research.
  • Continuously improving technical knowledge by participating in internal training, conducting ride-alongs with field technicians, and reviewing relevant materials.
  • Lead client-facing activities such as presentations, “lunch and learn” sessions, and others strategic relationship-building meetings.
  • Primarily a field-based position, with office time dedicated to meetings to contribute to the long-term vision and development of the team.
