Due to the business expansion Nice and Smooth Pty Ltd is looking for a Painter and decorator.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

To be successful in this role, you\u2019ll need following skills:<\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Knowledge of properties of paints and other coating products for internal and external use
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Manual skills for using painting tools
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Excellent knowledge of paint application techniques
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Sense of form and colour
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Physical strength and stamina
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Ability to work at heights
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Willingness to travel
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Evaluating the size of the area to be painted and providing an estimate on cost and time (including labour and materials)
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Erecting or installing scaffold towers, work platforms and stepladders and other support structures
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Preparing work areas and protecting surfaces not requiring painting with covers or sheets
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Preparing areas to be painted \- e.g. removing old paint, levelling surfaces, filling in cracks and holes etc.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Painting interior and exterior walls using brushes, rollers and other tools
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Executing artistic decorations, effects and patterns etc.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Applying coatings, coverings and claddings on external walls
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Applying varnishes
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Inspecting painted surfaces and rectifying any flaws or defects
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

· Removing tools and supports and cleaning work areas
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Requirements<\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Qualifications \u2013Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (desired)
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

At least 1 year of work experience as a Painter and Decorator
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>
