Paralegal & Executive Secretary
The Singapore Recreation Club is seeking a dynamic and meticulous Paralegal & Executive Secretary to support the Club’s legal, governance, and corporate secretarial functions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and the Management Committee, contributing to the Club’s governance, compliance, and strategic operations in a member-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documentation relating to club operations, membership, vendors, and stakeholders
Ensure all legal documents align with the Club’s Constitution, Bye-Laws, and applicable regulatory requirements
Maintain and oversee a centralised contract register, including key terms, obligations, and renewal timelines
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including the Societies Act and relevant legislation
Provide governance and secretarial support to the Management Committee and Sub-Committees, including review of papers, minutes, and resolutions
Conduct periodic reviews of the Club’s Constitution and Bye-Laws, recommending amendments where necessary
Support the management of member disputes, complaints, and disciplinary proceedings, including drafting of formal correspondence
Conduct legal research and provide advisory support on governance, compliance, and membership matters
Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
Support dispute resolution matters, including liaising with external legal counsel where required
Ensure all required licences and regulatory approvals are valid and maintained, and monitor legislative updates impacting operations
Plan and coordinate AGM/EOGM processes, and provide administrative and coordination support to the General Manager and stakeholders
Job requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business, or related discipline with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in a legal, paralegal, or corporate secretarial role.
Strong knowledge of contracts, governance, and compliance frameworks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
