Paralegal (Remote)

We are looking for a Philippines-based Paralegal to support our Legal Department. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this individual will play a vital role in supporting both U.S. and Philippines operations by managing contract workflows, maintaining compliance records, and providing high-quality legal and administrative support under attorney supervision. This is a unique opportunity to work on both U.S. and Philippine legal matters while helping drive positive social impact at scale. This is a fully remote position working night shift hours.

Key Responsibilities:

U.S. Legal Support

  • Assist with the review, redlining, and management of contracts relating to U.S. operations, including federal and state grant programs, under attorney direction.
  • Maintain the contract management system, including tracking key dates, renewals, and deliverables.
  • Support compliance monitoring and help prepare compliance reports and documentation.
  • Draft and maintain internal policies and procedures for U.S. operations for attorney review.
  • Track filing deadlines and assist with U.S. tax compliance documentation (income, sales, unemployment, employer withholding, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit registrations, permits, annual reports, and other corporate compliance filings.
  • Coordinate with brokers and internal stakeholders regarding insurance coverage documentation for U.S. entities.
  • Assist with document collection, organization, and fact-gathering for internal investigations.
  • Assist with document collection and obtaining required signatures in connection with procurements and proposals.
  • Monitor and manage legal department tasks and requests through the organization’s ticketing or workflow management system, ensuring timely responses, appropriate assignment, follow-ups and closure.
  • Provide general litigation and corporate legal support as assigned by an attorney.

Philippines Legal Support

  • Support employment law compliance and HR legal documentation in the Philippines.
  • Prepare and manage business registration and regulatory filings for Philippines operations.
  • Assist with tax compliance documentation and reporting for Philippine corporate and employment taxes.
  • Track deadlines and maintain a compliance calendar for periodic filings, renewals, licenses, permits, and registrations.
  • Draft and maintain internal policies tailored to the Philippines business unit for attorney review.
  • Support insurance procurement and compliance documentation in the Philippines.
  • Assist with document collection and fact-gathering for internal investigations.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate; a law degree or legal studies background is a plus but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a similar legal support role.
  • Located in the Philippines with night shift work hours (to overlap with U.S. team).
  • Experience or formal education related to U.S. law is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with U.S. corporate compliance, contracts, or tax filings preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying issues and escalating them appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote U.S.-based team.
