Part Time Nanny/ Mommy's Helper | Long-Term Position

Do you love creating calm from chaos and helping busy families thrive? We're looking for an organized, proactive, and caring Household Manager/Mommy's Helper to become an essential part of a wonderful Asheville family's support team.

This is an opportunity to help keep a busy household running smoothly while providing occasional support for four wonderful children. The ideal candidate enjoys taking initiative, creating organization, and anticipating a family's needs before they're asked.

Schedule

  • 16-20 hours per week (with the potential for additional weekday hours)

  • Preferred schedule:

    • Monday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

    • Wednesday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

    • Friday: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

  • Start Date: Late summer with the goal of being fully established before the new school year.

What You'll Do

Your days will vary, but responsibilities may include:

  • Completing the morning household reset

  • Tidying the kitchen after breakfast

  • Keeping laundry moving throughout the day

  • Folding and putting away laundry

  • Making beds and maintaining children's rooms

  • Tidying pantries, refrigerators, and common spaces

  • Light household organization and decluttering

  • Maintaining household systems and routines

  • Running occasional errands

  • Providing transportation for appointments, activities, and sports using the family's vehicle

  • Supporting the family's busy schedule with occasional childcare for their younger children

Please note: This is not a deep-cleaning position. A professional housekeeper handles routine heavy cleaning.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • A self-starter who thrives without constant direction

  • Proactive and able to anticipate needs

  • Dependable and trustworthy

  • Warm, kind, and professional

  • Comfortable balancing household management with occasional childcare

  • Experienced using calendars, schedules, and household systems to stay organized

Bonus If You Have:

  • Previous Household Manager or Family Assistant experience

  • Experience supporting busy professionals or entrepreneurs

  • A clean driving record

  • Flexibility for occasional travel or additional hours
