Part Time Senior Caregiver – Rochester, NY

A family in Rochester, NY 14618 is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to provide support for their 86-year-old loved one beginning in July. The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible, and comfortable adapting as care needs evolve over time.

Schedule:

  • Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend; Weekend hours are flexible and negotiable

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Provide toileting support
  • Prepare meals and assist with kitchen-related tasks
  • Provide medication reminders and supervision as directed
  • Perform light housekeeping, including laundry
  • Offer companionship, engagement, and emotional support
  • Help maintain daily routines and structure
  • Monitor safety and provide supervision related to cognitive decline
  • Observe and communicate any changes in condition or behavior

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with elderly clients and assisting with ADLs
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including assisting with mobility and personal care tasks

Compensation:

  • $28–$31 per hour (commensurate with experience)
