Part-Time Server- McEwan Street Fudge & Ice Cream Shop

McEwan Street Fudge & Ice Cream Shop is accepting applications for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving a variety of fudge and other sweet treats, and maintaining a clean and inviting shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and engaging manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about our fudge and other products.
• Product Knowledge: Learn and maintain an understanding of our fudge flavors, ingredients, and preparation methods to effectively assist customers and make recommendations.
• Fudge Preparation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of fudge, including cutting, packaging, and displaying products.
• Sales Transactions: Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring correct pricing and providing customers with receipts.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of fudge and other items, restocking as needed, and assisting with inventory counts.
• Shop Maintenance: Keep the shop clean and organized, including wiping counters, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Promotions and Sampling: Actively promote special offers and encourage customers to sample products, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth shop operations and an enjoyable customer experience.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

• Education/Experience: No education or experience required
• Skills:
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive and outgoing attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to [weight, e.g., 25 pounds].
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as cutting fudge and cleaning.
