Partner Engineer, Google Cloud, GSI

You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a Global System Integrators (GSI) Partner Engineer, you will partner with GSI Partner development and Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our GSI partners. You will serve as the GSI partner’s primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in technical-led conversations to understand their business issues. You will troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks, engage in proofs-of-concepts and demos, and use your expertise to architect cross-pillar cloud solutions that solve these business challenges. You will drive the technical win with the GSI Partner and assist to define the delivery and consumption plans. You will use your acumen and presentation skills to engage with technical and business leaders, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.

You will focus on identifying, pursuing, and winning new business workloads and driving penetration within existing ones as a technical generalist, spanning infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data analytics and more. You will blend sales prowess, market knowledge and direct technical engagement to prove the value of the Google Cloud portfolio.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry.   • Develop and own the GSI partner technical strategy, participating in planning and supporting targeted sales motions.
  • Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to prove the value of Google Cloud Platform across the portfolio through assisting and guiding the GSI partner to develop and deliver complex demos, pilots and in-depth workshops.
  • Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers with GSI partners; continue to lead the technical engagement in the solution phase.
  • Plan and support the GSI Partner in building, developing and enhancing their Google Cloud practice.
  • Be the technical point-of-contact for GSI partner for product and solution enquires, working in conjunction with Product and Support specialists within Google Cloud platform (GCP).

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a partner management or support role.
  • Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience translating customer objectives into Cloud solutions across multiple domains.
  • Experience in managing GSI or other channel partners as a technical alliance lead or engineer.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, and working cross-functionally, in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience building business partnerships with partners and customers in an architecture or solution delivery role.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience conducting partner technical engagements.
