Partner Manager, Retail - Uber Advertising

About the Role

The Uber Advertising team is looking for a strategic Partner Manager. As a Partner Manager, you will be responsible for building mutually beneficial ads partnerships within the Retail Vertical. You will own the account management strategy and campaign execution for a portfolio of top Retail brands. You’ll partner with Client Partners to drive adoption and upselling of a growing suite of ads offerings across our Mobility and Delivery platforms, reporting into the Team Lead.

What You'll Do

  • Drive Strategic Growth: Partner closely with Client Partners to architect and execute Retail Ads strategies that don't just meet our partners’ needs, but relentlessly crush quarterly growth targets.

  • Build High-Impact Relationships: Cultivate and navigate deep, trusted relationships with key marketing decision-makers within the complex Retail vertical.

  • Own the Solution: Master your clients’ marketing ecosystems, anticipating their challenges and proactively delivering Uber-caliber solutions before they even ask.

  • Champion Sophisticated Executions: Lead internal kickoff chemistry sessions to dissect complex campaign specs and align cross-functional teams on flawless execution.

  • Obsess Over Performance: Proactively monitor and dissect campaign performance metrics to pinpoint, communicate, and tackle optimization opportunities in real time.

  • Master the Lifecycle: Coordinate the end-to-end launch, management, and post-mortem reporting of campaigns, keeping stakeholders aligned through crystal-clear communication and expectation setting.

  • Unlock Hidden Value: Uncover incremental growth opportunities and drive higher partner investment by serving up data-backed, undeniable insights.

  • Bring Your Analytical A-Game: Develop rigorous methodologies to highlight emerging trends and transform raw data into a narrative that moves our partners to action.

  • Be the Voice of the Customer: Act as a critical feedback loop, effectively advocating for our partners by translating product limitations and user feedback into actionable insights for our Product and Engineering teams.

  • Scale Best Practices: Help build the playbook. You will drive initiatives to standardize best practices across the global Ads team, wearing multiple hats and lifting your teammates as we scale.

  • Navigate the Nuance: Employ razor-sharp critical thinking and creative problem-solving to navigate complex partner dynamics and high-stakes conversations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end Digital Advertising Account Management for Large Customer Sales (LCS) or enterprise-level clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scale & Complexity: Experience managing large-scale, multi-million dollar ad campaigns and partnering with massive, highly complex global brands.

  • Ecosystem Influencer: Proven ability to build deep rapport with brand digital advertising managers as well as complex agency holding company partners.

  • Data-Driven Storyteller: Advanced analytical skills with a knack for using data to quantify massive opportunities and influence senior decision-makers.

  • Commercial Polish: Exceptional negotiation, forecasting, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Superpumped Mindset: Speed, resourcefulness, and a fierce go-getter mentality. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$113,000 per year - USD$126,000 per year.

You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered sales bonuses & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
