Parts Dispatcher

The Parts Dispatcher will coordinate and execute parts deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while also managing drivers, routes, and inventory, all while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Scheduling and Dispatching:

  • Plan and optimize delivery routes for parts drivers
  • Assign deliveries to drivers based on location, time, and customer needs
  • Monitor delivery progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Communicate with drivers regarding route changes, delays, and other relevant information

Parts Management:

  • Ensure accurate and timely pulling of parts for delivery orders
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records
  • Assist with checking in stock orders and stocking products on the shelves

Customer Service:

  • Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and other inquiries
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns related to deliveries

Driver Management:

  • Responsible for the scheduling delivery drivers
  • Ensure drivers adhere to company policies and safety regulations
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by drivers

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years experience in an automotive parts department or related field
  • Attention to detail and accuracy crucial
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills
  • Basic math skills and the ability to understand quantities and inventory levels
  • Knowledge inventory management systems and delivery logistics
  • Safety awareness
