About the Job:
Role overview:
- Assist nurses with triage and assist with new case admissions.
- Aid with monitoring and recovery of cases.
- Assisting the vets and nurses in the care and treatment of exotics inpatients.
- Taking radiographs.
- Restraining patients for examination and treatments.
- Cleaning cages, laundry, food bowls, and making sure the exotics area is always presentable.
- Feeding and caring for exotics patients.
Requirements:
- No experience required but prior experience to animal handling/volunteering at shelters will be advantageous.
- Exhibits passion, focusses and displays excellent client service.
- Requirement to work some public holidays on rotation with colleagues. In lieu will be given for these shifts.
- Excellent communication skills to maintain and build relations with referring clinics.
- Able to work on weekends.
