Job Description Summary

Vera Whole Health is seeking a reliable, customer‑focused Patient Care Specialist (PCS) to join our team. As the first point of contact for patients, you play a vital role in creating a warm, efficient, and supportive clinic experience. We’re looking for someone with strong attendance, excellent communication skills, and 2–3 years of front‑office experience in a healthcare setting.If you thrive in a patient‑centered environment and enjoy being part of a collaborative care team, this role is a great fit.

How will you make an impact & Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Greet and check in patients with professionalism and compassion

  • Manage front‑office operations including scheduling, check‑out, and updating EMR records

  • Answer multi‑line phones while following urgent/emergent protocols

  • Conduct daily appointment reminders and outreach

  • Collect and process payments at time of service

  • Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorizations

  • Resolve patient concerns with empathy and problem‑solving

  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and safety protocols

  • Support administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and supply management

  • Participate in team huddles and contribute to workflow improvements

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–3 years of healthcare front‑office experience (required)

  • Strong reliability and consistent attendance

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office + EMR experience)

  • Ability to type 45+ WPM

  • Cultural sensitivity and professionalism with diverse patient populations

  • Additional language skills are a plus
