Payroll Accountant (12-Month Contract)
Overview (Text Only) Are you an accounting professional with payroll experience looking for your next opportunity? Foot Locker Asia Pacific is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be responsible for recording payroll-related activities in the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining reconciled accounts. You’ll partner closely with Workforce Management and cross-functional teams to support wage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end payroll closing activities and accruals Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for payroll accounts Deliver wage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Provide KPI reporting and payroll insights to business stakeholders Calculate and reconcile bonus payments and wage-related costs Support audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls Partner with HR, FP&A, Payroll Operations, and other teams on payroll matters Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities Qualifications 3–5 years’ experience in accounting or financial analysis Payroll accounting experience or strong understanding of payroll processes Understanding of wage reporting and metric would be highly regarded Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large data sets Advanced Excel skills Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Benefits Be part of a global, iconic retail brand with bold growth ambitions Generous Employee Discount – wear your favorite kicks at work!
