Pediatric Physiatrist
Job Purpose
|
The Pediatric Physiatrist provides direct care to a wide variety of patients within Bethany Children Health Center’s inpatient and outpatient settings. This position will support and have involvement in multidisciplinary clinics as well as participate in research and quality improvement initiatives. The Pediatric Physiatrist with have supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (PA/APRN) that support the department in providing patient care as well as PGY-3 pediatric residents.

Qualifications

Education: |
-MD or DO degree required |
|
Experience: |
2 years of post-graduate pediatric hospital medicine experience preferred |
|
License/Certification/Credential: |
-Current Oklahoma Medical License in good standing (or eligible) |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing direct patient care including but not limited to: reviewing and evaluating patient referrals, admissions, daily care (acute and chronic), call responsibilities |

Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (PA/APRN) involving co-management of patients, education, and consultative services |

Education of PGY-3 pediatric residents through direction supervision of clinical activities, one-on-one teaching, and career mentoring |

Organizational citizenship by participating in a minimum of at least one hospital-based committee, involvement with Quality Improvement (QI) endeavors, active participation in Medical Staff activities, providing educational offerings for staff |
