People & Culture Executive / Intern (2 months contract)
The People & Culture Executive is responsible for assisting in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture function and provides administrative and coordination support including compensation and benefits, colleague communication, relations, engagement, performance & talent management and more, in order to support the hotel’s business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Compensation And Benefits
- Assists in benchmarking competitive compensation and benefits structures to attract and retain talent.
- Supports benchmarking against best-in-class in luxury hotels.
- Ensures the HRIS system is effectively managed for the accurate administration of compensation and benefits.
Heartist® Journey – Colleague Communication / Relations / Engagement
- Works closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure smooth transition of candidates upon completion of successful job offers.
- Responds to all colleague enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring effective dissemination of information to hotel colleagues on timely basis and in a timely manner.
- Assists in overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of the colleague's facilities, including locker rooms, rest rooms, colleague dining room, etc, to maintain an attractive and well-kept heart-of-house environment.
- Assists in overseeing colleague's transportation ensuring timeliness, safety and compliance.
- Plans and executes colleague events, social and recreational activities.
- Plans and executes the hotel’s colleague recognition programmes to inculcate a culture of spontaneous colleague recognition.
- Supports workplace health initiatives aligning the hotel’s People & Culture initiatives and programmes with Singapore Health Award and Work-Life standards.
- Contributes to fostering a fun, caring, supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Promotes awareness and compliance with AccorHotel’s Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibilities Charter, Code of Ethics, Social Media Policy, Anti-Corruption/Anti-Bribery Policy, and other governance standards.
- Supports efforts to drive high engagement and high performance with strong focus on guest passion and service quality.
Performance And Talent Management
- Assists in overseeing performance reviews to ensure fairness, consistency and timely completion by operational managers.
- Assists in reviewing promotion and career development recommendations submitted by ExCo/Department Heads.
People And Culture Operations
- Implements corporate People & Culture initiatives and programmes in a timely manner.
- Prepares and submit reports and surveys to internal departments, corporate and relevant key agencies, e.g. Ministry of Manpower, Singapore Hotel Association, Singapore Tourism Board, etc.
- Assists to drive effective leadership for positive colleague relations and engagement and reduce colleague turnover.
- Ensures procedural adherence and assists to review recommendations for transfer, redesignation, promotion, salary adjustment, etc proposed by respective ExCo/Department Heads.
- Ensures procedural adherence for colleagues’ cessation processes and timely payment of cessation pay within regulated time frame.
- Supports People & Culture administration, including contract administration, purchase requisitions, office administration, stationery inventories, filing, etc.
- Ensures 100% compliance with People & Culture audit requirement.

Candidate Profile
Knowledge and Experience
- Tertiary education from a reputable institution.
- Specialisation in Human Resources is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word).
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages and dialects are an advantage.
- Good communicator with presentation and influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with diverse colleagues across all levels.
- Good understanding of building a strong service culture in a world-class hospitality environment.
- Self-driven, proactive, able to work independently and able to multi-task in a dynamic setting.
- Analytical with proven organisational skills and attention to details.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, high integrity, loyalty and confidentiality.
