People Operations Analyst
You will be a hands on People Operations partner who handles day to day employee lifecycle tasks. You will process transactions in Workday, maintain accurate employee data, and ensure onboarding and offboarding activities go smoothly. You will respond to employee questions on HR policies and systems through the helpdesk, pull standard and ad hoc reports, and identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks. You will contribute to a positive employee experience by keeping data clean and processes efficient.
Responsibilities
- Triage and resolve incoming People Operations tickets in FreshService (transitioning to Serval) and answer employee questions on HR policies processes and systems
- Process transactions in Workday by entering and maintaining accurate employee data across the full lifecycle including new hires terminations job changes and transfers
- Support onboarding and offboarding by coordinating day one logistics ensuring Workday records are set up correctly and helping employees and managers navigate transitions
- Pull and deliver standard and ad hoc reports from Workday to support the People team Finance and leadership and flag data issues
- Spot and flag improvements by identifying recurring tickets that could be automated or gaps in the knowledge base
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR Shared Services, or a similar operational HR role
- Hands on Workday experience and ability to process transactions and run reports
- Experience working a helpdesk or ticketing queue (FreshService Zendesk ServiceNow or similar)
- High attention to detail and ability to catch data errors before they become problems
- Clear professional written communication
- Self directed and organized you manage your own queue without needing daily direction
- A natural inclination to ask why we do it this way and the judgment to know when to act on the answer vs when to just get the work done
