Personal Driver
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, professional, and family-oriented Personal Driver to support a private household. This role serves as the primary driver for the Principal and family, ensuring safe, punctual, and comfortable transportation for both business and personal commitments. You will play an important role in supporting the family’s daily logistics, requiring a high degree of professionalism, discretion, flexibility, and trustworthiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Principal Transportation: Provide daily chauffeuring services for the Principal, including transportation to and from the office, business meetings, appointments, and other professional engagements.
- Family Transportation: Support the transportation needs of the Principal’s family, including school runs, enrichment classes, appointments, social activities, and other family-related travel requirements.
- Family Logistics & Errands: Assist with household transportation needs, including grocery runs, collection of items, and other ad hoc errands as required.
- Vehicle Stewardship: Take full ownership of the vehicle’s upkeep, including regular car washes, refueling/charging, and coordinating routine maintenance and servicing appointments.
- Schedule Management & Readiness: Proactively plan routes, monitor traffic conditions, and maintain flexibility to support changes in the Principal’s schedule while ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Safety & Professionalism: Maintain a clean, smoke-free vehicle environment and uphold the highest standards of road safety, confidentiality, and discretion at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record as a Personal or Private Driver supporting senior executives, business owners, or private families. Experience handling Electric Vehicles (EVs), large MPVs (e.g., Toyota Alphard), and luxury continental cars is highly advantageous.
- Driving Excellence: An exemplary driving record with no demerit points. Possession of a Private Hire Driver's Vocational Licence (PDVL) is a significant bonus and preferred.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to facilitate clear communication and coordination with Mandarin-speaking family members and household staff.
- Physical Fitness & Safety: Must be physically fit to assist with carrying groceries, luggage, and household items where required. The role requires maintaining high levels of alertness for extended periods and a commitment to safe driving practices.
- Health & Screening: Due to the nature of the role and to ensure the safety and security of all passengers, the successful driver may be asked to undergo a pre-employment medical examination and comprehensive background and reference checks.
- Eligibility: This role is based in Singapore; candidates must have the legal right to work in Singapore.
Working Arrangement & Benefits
- Package: Competitive base salary + 13th Month (AWS) and performance-based bonus. Salary will be commensurate with experience and is inclusive of the specified weekend and public holiday support.
- Working Hours: Six days a week, Monday to Friday, and Sunday; with work starting at 7:30am. Working hours will be aligned to the Principal’s business commitments and the family’s daily schedules.
- Public Holiday Support: As the role supports both the Principal’s professional commitments and family activities, occasional support on Public Holidays (excluding Chinese New Year) may be required.
- "Give-and-Take" Philosophy: In recognition of overtime work and Public Holiday support, the driver may enjoy extended paid rest periods when the family is travelling overseas (subject to operational requirements), reflecting a mutual spirit of flexibility and trust.
- Vehicle Usage: As part of the working arrangement, the driver may take the vehicle home on designated days, providing added convenience while ensuring the vehicle is ready to support daily transportation needs.
