Petrochemical Trader (Polymers)

In this role, you will lead the sales strategy for our petrochemical products, develop and strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to expanding our market footprint.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Sales

• Responsible for the marketing of petrochemical products supplied by Headquarters, including but not limited to PE, PP, MTBE, BTX and SM.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.

• Prepare regular sales and trading performance reports, analyzing data to optimize sales strategies and providing reference for management decision-making.

  • Business Development

• Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach and grow the customer base.

• Work closely with the Headquarters to promote products, generating new leads through networking, cold-calling and attending industry events.

  • Others

• Monitor market risks such as price volatility, currency fluctuations to mitigate trading risks.

• Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant industry regulations, company policies and legal requirements.

• Perform other ad hoc tasks as requested by the management team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Chemistry, Sales or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in trading or sales within the chemical industry or relevant sectors.

• Strong knowledge of the chemical market, product specifications and global supply chains.

• Proven track record of success in trading and sales of chemical products, with experience in prospecting, lead generation and closing deals.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and build relationships with external partners.

• Proficiency in Mandarin listening and speaking is required for effective collaboration with colleagues at the headquarters.

• Willing to travel.
