Pharmacy Technician
Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Monday through Friday, varying schedules between 6:00am-10:30pm, every other weekend, rotating holidays. You will work at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL.
Additional components of compensation may include:
Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
Overtime

- High School diploma/GED or presently attending high school. Required
- Retail pharmacy or hospital experience is preferred, in particular in the following areas: unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications, IV admixture including USP<797> and <800>, and automated dispensing machine technology. Preferred
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation” license from IDFPR. Required
- Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued. Required
