Physician - Advanced Cardiac Imaging

The Cardiology Section at VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) invites applications for a full-time position as an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Cardiologist. The successful candidate will participate in advanced cardiac imaging studies such as cardiac CT, coronary CT angiography, cardiac MRI, and nuclear cardiac imaging (SPECT and PET). The position involves working with our Radiology program to advise on acquisition of the studies as well as coordinating the cardiac reports with other Cardiologists with skills in reading these studies. The candidate will also participate in reading echocardiography studies, and in our clinical general cardiology inpatient and outpatient services. The position involves teaching residents and cardiovascular disease fellows. The successful candidate must have completed formal training in advanced cardiac imaging and should have a track record in research in cardiac imaging or an equivalent academic area. Academic appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS) as Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor will be provided commensurate with experience and accomplishments. VABHS is the major tertiary referral center for Veterans throughout New England and is strongly affiliated with Harvard Medical School and Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. The System comprises three major campuses and five community-based outpatient clinics.
