Physician Assistant

About the Position: This position is located within the Family Medicine Department. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. Assess, plan, evaluate, and modify the plan of acute and chronically ill patients.

Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings of diagnostics tests to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.

Determine the primary care requirements of adult patients and engage in a collaborative approach with the physician team to assess, manage, and adjust therapeutic strategies as necessary.

Write prescriptions, order the administration of medications, dispense medication and prescribe controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice for Physician Assistants.

Evaluate the total health care needs of patients and develop plans to meet the patients' needs.

Coordinate with patients regarding physicians' findings and diagnoses, laboratory results, follow-up treatment plan or the effect of medications prescribed in accordance with approved protocols.

Oversee compliance with the preventive healthcare needs of adult patients visiting the clinic.
