Physician - Emergency Medicine

The Physician has specialized knowledge of practice related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of Emergency Medicine conditions. Major Duties but not limited to: Emergency Medicine physicians assess, evaluate, diagnose and initially treat patients in the Emergency Department with any symptom, illness or condition. Stabilize patients with major illnesses or injuries and assess all patients to determine if additional care is necessary. Perform or assist in related procedures. Works as a member of the Emergency Medicine team at the Hershel "Woody" Williams campus of the Huntington VA Hospital. There may be other duties as assigned or required. Work Schedule: Hours/days will vary. Your schedule will ultimately be determined by your Supervisor and be based on needs of the Department, Facility, and/or Agency. Compressed tour may be authorized.
