Physician - Otolaryngology

This position serves as a Physician privileged to provide medical and surgical care in Otolaryngology located within the Surgical Service department at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

Duties include but are not limited to: Evaluate, diagnose, admit, treat and manage patients with diseases, disorders, and injuries of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck, including conditions involving the ears, facial skeleton, upper respiratory tract, and upper alimentary system. Provide non-operative and operative care consistent with approved clinical privileges and within the capability and resources of a Level 1C facility. Perform inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-up care for patients referred by other clinical services and affiliated outpatient clinic. Provide emergency and on-call otolaryngology services as assigned and consistent with granted privileges. Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic studies and implemented treatment plans consistent with VHA standards of care. Educates and mentors medical students, interns, residents, technicians, and other physicians. Participates in surgical staff briefings and contributes to continuous learning within the service. Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and collaboration with other services to ensure continuity of care. Maintain current licensure, board certification (if applicable), credentialing, privileging, and completion of all required mandatory education and training. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 08:00am- 4:30pm
