Physician - Pediatric GI - Full Time Academic
Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport invite applications for a BC/BE Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology within the Department of Pediatrics. We are seeking a full-time physician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates must be eligible for a Louisiana medical license. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient general gastroenterology care, along with opportunities to teach residents and medical students and participate in meaningful research initiatives.
Clinical responsibilities include weekly teaching in GI outpatient clinics, performing endoscopic procedures in our on-site endoscopy center, and providing inpatient consult services. The ideal candidate will bring a broad knowledge of pediatric gastroenterology, a passion for high-quality patient care, and a commitment to academic and scholarly growth.

- Level III + S Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – 40-bed unit
- 23-bed pediatric inpatient ward and a 14-bed pediatric intensive care unit
- One of only 8 hospitals in the nation affiliated with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
- Children’s Clinical Research Center featuring a dedicated 3-bed clinical trial unit and laboratory supporting 10–12 NIH- and industry-sponsored trials annually (inpatient and outpatient)
- A thriving health sciences center with Schools of Medicine, Graduate Studies, and Allied Health Professions, supported by a robust research enterprise
- More than 1,100 students enrolled across programs and nearly 600 residents and fellows trained annually
