The NWMetro Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) has an opening for a Full-Time Staff Physician. 13 CBOCs within the Minneapolis VA Health Care System provide care to Veterans near their home town and serve over 47,000 Veterans throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
Seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care provider is sought for a VA clinic in Ramsey, Minnesota part of the Minneapolis, MN VA health care system. Our facilities include an updated fully-equipped medical clinic with a lab, x- ray and telemedicine capabilities. Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Rochester and rural areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist. Mental Health services within the clinic help to provide comprehensive care to the Veterans served in this VA Community Clinic. Take time with your patients. Visits for established patients are 30 minutes and for new patients 60 minutes VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Providers will perform outpatient duties and management of scheduled and unscheduled patients. An assigned panel of patients is determined by the VHA PCMM software package which is specific to their practice and setting. Focus on care include the chronic disease initiative areas of CHF, COPD and DM, mental health collaboration in the PC setting, MOVE program focusing on weight loss, diet and activity as well as health promotion/disease management. Work Schedule: The tour of duty for this position is typically 8:00am-4:30pm. Additional information may be provided during the interview process.
