Physician (Psychiatry)

About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Behavioral Health at Womack Army Medical Center At Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Makes decisions that have a serious impact on the lives of others, such as recommending hospitalization or determining a service members fitness for duty or assessing and completing a Medical Evaluation Board (MEB),

Provides routine, intensive, complex and emergency intakes and extended evaluation for a variety of emotional, psychological and behavioral disorders.

Performs duties as a practitioner and consultant in Psychiatry with emphasis on problems of all levels of complexity.

Provides psychiatric care for walk-in patients presenting with acute illnesses of minor and major proportions

Collaborates with physicians in other medical specialties on cases involving complicated and multifaceted problems.

Provides treatment services in any capacity including, but not limited to, assessment, medication management and disposition of psychiatric patients including making arrangements for hospitalization if needed.
