Physician (Radiology)

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center San Diego. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Provide a full scope of diagnostic radiology services for the radiology services.

Provide consultation, reporting the radiologic diagnostics examination, delivering interpretation of the study and the diagnoses of x-ray to the clinician.

Recommend and direct the care and treatment of the patient.

Obtain consultation, provides referral, both within the department and with other medical elements.

Provide advice, professional opinions and written technical studies and professional review upon request by the Chief, Department of Radiology in support of the various boards and committees.

Provide training in the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology to other department physicians and medical students.
