Dialysis access procedures. Diagnostic and Interventional angiography including mesenteric and peripheral vascular. Lower extremity bypass. Open and endovascular carotid surgery. Supervision/teaching of surgical residents. Providing consultation in an outpatient clinic setting and on inpatient wards. Be responsible for initial evaluation and overall workups, history and physicals, and admission of vascular surgery patients as needed. Participation in committees. Other duties as assigned by the Chief of Surgery or Chief of Staff. Work Schedule: Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm however, subject to change, depending on the needs of the service/medical center. On-call responsibilities as required. Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).
