Planning Engineer

The Planning Engineer will support the successful execution of Electrical and ELV projects. The role is responsible for project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, progress monitoring, and reporting to ensure projects are completed within the specified timeframe and in accordance with client and management requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop project plans and schedules to achieve required project milestones and progress targets within the project duration.
• Prepare, update, and manage project documentation using relevant planning and project management software.
• Plan, coordinate, and optimise resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays or risks.
• Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, dashboards, and project status updates for clients and management.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project schedules and objectives.
• Support Project Managers in forecasting, planning, and implementing corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure planning activities comply with project requirements, contractual obligations, and company standards.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, ELV Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in construction and MEP projects, with specific experience in Electrical and ELV project planning and execution.
• Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, and progress tracking methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
