Planning Engineer

Nova International Contracting is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer to support project scheduling, progress monitoring, and performance reporting across high-end residential projects.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining efficient project schedules, tracking progress against plans, identifying delays, and providing accurate planning insights to ensure timely project delivery in alignment with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain baseline project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity sequencing, and logic links
  • Prepare resource-loaded schedules, including S-curves and histograms

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Update schedules on a weekly and monthly basis, tracking progress against the baseline
  • Prepare 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week look-ahead plans
  • Analyze schedule performance and highlight deviations, risks, and delays
  • Generate planning reports, dashboards, and progress presentations

Delay Analysis & Claims Support

  • · Identify impacts on the critical path and assess schedule risks
  • · Maintain delay and change event registers
  • · Support Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions
  • · Assist in preparing as-built schedules and supporting documentation
  • Coordination & Stakeholder Management
  • · Coordinate with project stakeholders including site teams, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and HSE
  • · Monitor engineering deliverables, procurement activities, and authority approvals against schedule requirements
  • · Review subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with the master program

Documentation & Control

  • Maintain accurate records of schedule updates, revisions, and project milestones
  • Ensure proper planning documentation and version control

  • Experience: 3–5 years as a Planning Engineer (construction/contracting industry is mandatory)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in corporate and site
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, planning techniques, and progress measurement
  • Advanced proficiency I Primavera P6
  • PMI-SP or PMP® Certification is preferred
