Planning&Logistics Trainee

Job Summary

We are looking for a Planning & Logistics Trainee to support the Planning and Warehouse teams in driving operational efficiency and enhancing supply chain performance. In this role, you will contribute to production planning, logistics coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.
You will gain hands-on experience in an advanced manufacturing environment, working with cross-functional teams such as Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Maintenance. The role offers exposure to planning processes, inventory management, and logistics optimization, while actively participating in improvement initiatives and Lean-based projects.
This is a six-month curricular internship based in Tetra Pak Carta in Rubiera, Italy.

What you will do

  • Support production planning activities, including scheduling, tracking, and adjustments
  • Assist in managing daily logistics operations and warehouse coordination
  • Collaborate with Planning and Logistics teams to ensure material availability and smooth production flow
  • Support KPI tracking and reporting for planning and logistics processes
  • Perform data analysis to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
  • Contribute to WCM and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean activities)
  • Assist in inventory management, stock tracking, and warehouse optimization
  • Work with benchmarks and best practices to improve logistics and planning processes
  • Support administrative and reporting tasks for planning and logistics operations
  • Develop and improve data collection and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

We believe you have

  • You are a Master’s student in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (active student status required)
  • Available for a 6-month full-time curricular internship (thesis can be developed during the internship)
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
  • Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel)
  • Strong analytical mindset with interest in data analysis and process optimization
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently with a structured and proactive approach
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, planning, and logistics processes
  • Familiarity with Lean principles or WCM is a plus
  • Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and result-driven with a strong personal drive
