Platform Engineering Manager

You will lead the Platform Engineering team responsible for shared infrastructure powering institutional engagements. You will set the technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive reliability, scalability, and performance across production systems. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver secure and robust platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Platform Engineering team and develop engineers on the team
• Own the platform technical strategy including compute networking observability CI CD validator clusters data plane secrets and key management
• Decide what should be generalized into shared platform capability versus bespoke engagement work
• Ensure production reliability for institutional grade systems running in production
• Coordinate staffing capacity planning and incident response across engagements to keep commitments aligned with platform reality
• Engage with client conversations at technical inflection points when engineering leadership adds value

Requirements

• Experience leading platform or distributed systems engineering teams in production critical environments
• Strong technical depth and ability to review architecture
• Experience operating in or alongside a forward deployed or solutions engineering model
• Comfort with customer facing engagements and ability to communicate technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and incident response
