PLC Software Engineer

Job Summary

You will lead software and control system design, programming, testing, and implementation for factory automation projects, collaborating with customers and project teams to ensure timely delivery and effective support.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to gather and clarify software requirements and specifications for automation projects
  • Design control and software structure to meet project needs and optimize system performance
  • Develop, program, and test Siemens PLC, HMI, PC-based, and robotic control software to ensure functionality and reliability
  • Implement automation solutions and provide ongoing customer support to resolve issues and optimize operations
  • Prepare comprehensive machine operation manuals and technical documentation for end users
  • Coordinate with project teams to manage timelines and deliver projects on schedule
  • Apply project management skills to track progress, identify risks, and facilitate communication among stakeholders

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma, Degree, or higher qualification in Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in factory automation systems focusing on software and control development
  • Proficiency in Siemens PLC, HMI, PC-based, and robotic programming for automation control
  • Experience using AutoCAD to create and interpret electrical drawings
