Job Description

We are seeking a talented and driven Podcast Producer to join our team at Tapt Media. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our AFL audio and video content, working closely with the iconic 3AW is Football and Tapt Podcasts teams. If you live and breathe footy, know how to craft a compelling narrative, and possess the technical chops to manage a studio from recording to final edit, we want to hear from you.

Tapt Media formally Nine Radio is Australia’s leading commercial talk radio network. Home to the country’s most influential stations 2GB, 3AW, 4BC, and 6PR as well as a growing slate of podcast titles, we reach millions of Australians every week. With a focus on "Live and Local" content, we offer Australians and brands the intimacy and trust of radio, combined with the deep engagement and storytelling of podcasts and social.

Note on Ownership: Nine Radio is proud to have recently joined Tapt Media. While this recruitment process is being managed by Nine under a transition of services agreement, the successful candidate will be employed directly by Tapt Media.

Day to day you will:

  • Research and prepare high-quality content for daily and weekly AFL podcasts.

  • Manage studio operations, including recording and editing both long-form and short-form audio and video content.

  • Develop and shape engaging, narrative-driven AFL documentary-format podcasts.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (3AW and Tapt) and represent the brand with external stakeholders and at occasional client events.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced, specialised skills in Audition and Premiere Pro.

  • A studio and tech specialist mindset, comfortable handling the ins and outs of audio/video production equipment.

  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to thrive and deliver under tight, media-driven deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively manage relationships with internal teams and external AFL partners.
