Poker Dual Rate Supervisor/Dealer

Responsible for the poker room operation on an assigned basis.
  • Responsible for dealers being upbeat and friendly while also taking responsibility for following dealing procedures and keeping proper game pace.

  • Keeps team well informed of property promotions and events and is present and visible at customer events.
  • Takes personal responsibility for creating an atmosphere of luck.
  • Ensures proper procedure is used by all dealers under supervision.
  • Verifies all gaming table transactions in supervised area.
  • Verifies issuance of credit after completion of all authorization procedures. Issues to customers the proper amount of gaming chips after completion of the credit authorization procedures.
  • Conducts assigned game according to procedure.
  • Exchanges cash for gaming chips according to procedure.
  • Cooperates with other Dealers when assigned to the same game (Craps).
  • Controls pace of the game. Informs the Casino Games Supervisor of any request or unusual play.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Employees will be evaluated periodically to determine suitability to continue in dual-rate function.
  • Position is located in a cigarette smoke environment.

  • Conveys positive energy and enthusiasm focusing on the customer interaction.
  • Thorough knowledge of all poker games and operations.
  • Two years experience as a poker dealer in a casino environment.
  • One year supervisory experience in poker room operations.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
