POLICE OFFICER (COMBAT ARMS TRAINING INSTRUCTOR)

The primary purpose of this position is to enforce law, maintain law and order, preserve the peace, and protect life and civil rights within the jurisdiction of the military installation. To perform Combat Arms (CA) training and maintenance on CA and promote personal and weapons safety to assigned installation and tenant personnel. (CONT. Below in DUTIES)

(CONT. From SUMMARY Above)- Control and operate firing ranges; inspect, perform sub-depot repairs, and maintain small arms and light weapons (SA/LW). DUTIES- 1. Performs and enforces the full range of police officer duties within the military installation. 2. Performs Combat Arms (CA) training duties and promotes weapons and range safety. 3. Monitors/reports individual and unit accomplishment of training requirements. 4. Performs field maintenance, minor repairs, and inspection of SA/LW. 5. Manages and/or performs Armory operations duties to safeguard DoD weapons, ammunition and equipment as well as privately owned weapons.
